Authors who are registered for the IFBF 2012 and have a paper accepted for poster presentation have the option of providing a 2 page mini-paper for publication in the Book of Conference Papers. If an author decides not to submit a 2 page mini-paper, then the original submitted abstract will be published in the Book of Conference Papers.
The Book of Conference Papers will be available free to all registered attendees of the IFBF 2012.
Mini-Paper Preparation Guidelines
Papers presented at IFBF 2012 will be published in a Book of Conference Papers, which will available to all delegates at the IFBF 2012.
Formatting:
The mini-paper should be submitted electronically, with paper size set to A4 size paper, margins set to 25 mm, and the font as Arial or Helvetica 11 point. Single-line-spacing is to be used. Mini-papers are to be two sides of A4 with a small number of relevant photographs, diagrams or figures. The paper should be a stand-alone document describing your work, in sufficient detail to form a record of your work.
The mini-paper should be set in paragraphs. The title should be in bold letters with a font size of 16, while sub-headings in bold may be used (font size of 11). Superscripts and subscripts should be clear. The authors' names should be in the format: given name, family name, with affiliations and contact details.
Units:
Normally SI units should be used, unless the use of other units is common, for example commodity prices might be expressed in US$ / lb. Where $ is used please state US or other country to avoid ambiguity. There should be a space between the figure and the unit, for example: 100 kWh or 48 V.
Abbreviations:
Abbreviations which are not in common use should be explained the first time they are written. The term Redox Flow Battery may be abbreviated to RFB, Vanadium Flow Battery abbreviated to VFB, but please be consistent with use of abbreviations. Where possible please avoid using trademarks or trade names.
Images & Figures:
Drawings, figures and photographs should be sent in high resolution, or as a worksheet chart.
File Type:
Your document may be sent as a word file (.doc is preferred) or as an unlocked .pdf file. Our reprographics team will convert your text into the house style for printing, which includes moving the text into columns.
Reviewing & Editing:
All mini-papers will be subject to review and editing. If time permits, changes or clarifications will be referred to the author.
Please submit your mini-paper to papers @ flow battery forum . com, by 21 May 2012 (14 May 2012 for poster papers) to allow us sufficient time to prepare conference materials.
If you wish to purchase copies of the documentation from previous forum meetings, please use the order form through the IFBF archive menu,
