Workshop Agreement for Flow Batteries

Work on Cenelec Workshop 05 "Flow Batteries" has now officially commenced. At the "kick off " meeting held in Berlin on 27 November 2011, the business plan was approved by participants and a chairman and secretariat nominated and agreed. Immediatly following the kick off meeting, the first plenary session took place. Five working groups have been formed and an aggressive timetable has been agreed to provide input into the draft workshop agreement. This is the first part of the process to prepare an international standard or standards for flow batteries, and already many leading manufacturers and suppliers have joined the Workshop process. A participation fee is to be paid in order to join as a participant. This is to cover the cost of the secretariat and other necessary expenses which is shared between participants.
