Flow Batteries
(updated 27 November 2011)
Standards for flow batteries - an introduction
Following discussions held at the IFBF over the past two years on the need to develop relevant standards for the flow battery industryit has beed agreed to start a CENELEC Workshop Agreement on Flow Batteries. The workshop agreement is a simpler, and possibly more rapid means of providing internationally acceptable documentation especially on emerging
technologies. This was explained in a presentation by Mr De Jongh of CEN -CENELEC
A link to Mr De Jongh's presentation is here.
A preliminary meeting was held with potential participants in July 2011 and after the necessary proceduarla steps had been taken by CENELEC a "Kick off" meeting and the first took place on 27 November 2011 in Berlin.
